I hope it provides the information you need to be successful as a student in my class. There is much information that is provided for both students and parents.

The Lessons link above provides information on the lessons for the week as well as the expected long term test schedule for the rest of the semester.

Grades provides fairly current grades.

Earth Science provides information for Earth Science students and Physics/AP Physics provides information for them as well.

Mr. Gavin enjoys time with his family, discussing science and playing with the latest computer gadgets/games. This is his 23rd year of teaching. He taught math and science for 2.5 years at Noble JHS, 1.5 years of science at Hollenbeck JHS, 6 years of science at Placerita JHS, 8 years of Earth Science/Physics/Astronomy & Meteorology at Valencia HS and this is his 5th year teaching Earth Science/Physics at Golden Valley HS. He graduated from nearby Canyon High School, earned his B.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of California at Los Angeles(UCLA), received a M.A. in School Administration from California State University at Northridge(CSUN) and Ed.D.(ABD) in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University.
