Teaching for 14 years with the William S. Hart Union High School District, Mr. Smith graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in English Literature and language and a minor in Linguistics. After completing his MA in Education (with a Reading Specialist credential), he completed his National Board Certification in Adolescence and Young Adulthood/English Language Arts in 2002.
