Mrs. Virnelson received her BS in Biological Sciences and
her MS in Environmental Education from Rowan University
in New Jersey.

She has been with the Hart District since 1995, when she
took a position teaching eighth grade science at La Mesa.
She brings with her a host of accomplishments which
include being named Hart District Teacher of the Year for
2002-2003.

Mrs. Virnelson loves "turning students onto the amazing
world of science."

She enjoys golf, traveling, boating, tennis and spending
time with her family during her spare moments.
