PHYSICAL FEATURES MAP CREATION

1. Students are to draw or find a continent map of 3 of 7 (excluding Antarctica) continents creating a booklet. (Pick the 3 continents you want to research)
2. Pick 2 Regions from each continent and briefly describe their Geography. Must be typed.
3. All Maps must have a Compass Rose and Legend to accompany features. Use symbols to show, Mtn. Ranges, Minerals, Forests, Volcanoes, Canyons, Oil, Coal, and Vegetation etc.
4. Booklet must be colored.
5. On all maps you must put down the number of physical features listed to the right of the feature itself. (If it says total you only need that number total for the project for all continents. Ex. Straits, you only need 6 for all 3 continent pictures)

Physical Features:

Mountains Ranges: 4 per continent if available.

Rivers: 5 per continent.

Oceans: All

Deserts: 2 per continent.

Lakes: 4 per continents.

Poles: 2 only.

Forest: 3 per continent.

Islands: 4 per continent.

Channels: 5 Total.

Straits: 6 Total.

Seas: All.

Volcanoes: 4 Total.

Canyons: 3 Total.

Vegetation: 2 per continent. (i.e. Corn, Wheat, etc)

Minerals: 3 per continent. (Tin, Copper, Gold, Silver, etc)

Oil: Asia/N. America only (3sites)

Grasslands: 2 per continent.

Plateaus: 2 per continent.

Coal: 2 per continent.
