Teach rubric terms: biography/autobiography, concrete, sensory details, imagery, dialogue, interior monologue, imagery, action verbs, pace, mood, perspective, tone, theme/thesis, active voice, main idea/ supporting details, transitions. Review “LRC” as a narrative. Prewriting: Details & Description, LOTF (3-4) LIT CIRCLE T/F; Allusion to Coral Island? Epilepsy? – give paper to lit circles w/ a few questions to answer?
