I'm very excited about the opportunity to work with all of you this year! During my years of learning and teaching science, I have developed a profound love of chemistry and I plan to not only teach you all of the California Standards for Chemistry, but I hope to (at the very least) elicit in you a deep respect for this subject and ultimately a passion for it as well! As you will soon learn, chemistry explains much of the world we live in. Developing a fundamental understanding of chemistry will help you to better understand many of the current environmental issues that are of concern to our planet; the challenges of global energy demands; medicine, disease and medical treatments that you or a loved one may undergo; and an entire myriad of other current real concerns in our world. And there is rarely a week that goes by in my own home that I don't get to tap into my knowledge of chemistry to help with some household drama! I hope that you will utilize this website to stay on top of your assignments and grades. Being a super genius isn't a necessity for passing my class, working hard will be.
