Class Description:
This course will provide complete coverage of three types of business – proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. Each type of business is presented in a complete accounting cycle covering analyzing transactions, journalizing, posting, petty cash, financial statements, and adjusting and closing entries. Accounting concepts are introduced using a modern business with owners that students can relate to in each cycle. The course includes instruction on beginning through advanced levels of Accounting. Students will be exposed to various accounting simulations. Integrated throughout the course are career preparation standards, which include communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, problem solving, technology, and other employment skills.
