Important Dates: Quarter 1 Benchmark, October 12th

QUIZ RETAKES: Quizzes are given on weekly basis and I make every attempt to give quizzes on Fridays after introducing and practicing concepts throughout the week. If a student wishes to improve upon their quiz score from that week's quiz they may retake the quiz once for a better score. I will count the better of the two scores in the gradebook. Quiz retakes will be held on Tuesday mornings from 7:10 until 7:40 ONLY and I encourage parents to assist students by providing transporation to school at this time. (Quiz retake days are subject to change slightly based on holidays or modified quiz dates.)

Lennarz Bio

I am very excited to be starting another year of teaching and what I expect to be another wonderful year here at Sierra Vista Junior High School. My teaching career began in 1999 as a first grade teacher. I had the privilege of joining the Sierra Vista staff in 2003 as a seventh grade Pre-Algebra teacher and have truly enjoyed the friendly and supportive atmosphere that its staff and students has provided me. I realized quite soon into my first year of teaching middle school how much I enjoyed the energy, inquisitiveness and sense of humor of jr. high students and have always been very happy with the leap from elementary school to middle school. I hope to be a positive influence in their lives and provide a comfortable learning environment in which to grow and mature.

I was married to my husband in 1997 and we have two wonderful daughters, Emma (10 years) and Haley (8 years). On my “free” time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, watching my daughters perform gymnastics and attending school for my Master's in Education Counseling.
