Fractals...you have seen them around, but what are they? Defination: a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is a reduced-size copy of the whole, a property called self-similarity. The term was coined by Benoît Mandelbrot.
What does that mean? Look at any
fractal, then zoom in to a part of the fractal. Notice that the
zoomed in section is a smaller version of the big picture!
